With such a short week next week, I am going to post the plan for the next two weeks in this entry.
*On Monday and Tuesday of Thanksgiving week, students will be competing Thanksgiving related math, writing, and reading activities. In Social Studies, the 7th and 8th graders will be watching Mulan to finish up our Ancient Chinese unit.
December 2nd-6th
*Reading: Students will be reading about three important inventions in the transportation industry: trains, planes, and automobiles! Students will be creating a time line of events in the development of each area.
*RtI Reading: We will continue to work on the reading skill of Cause and Effect. Students will read several stories (including "A Tiny World", "The Clever Monkey", and "Shark: Friend or Enemy") and practicing determining the cause and effect within them.
*Math: Students will be starting either the multiplication or time unit. Students will continue to work on these skills until winter break.
*Social Studies (7/8th only): We will begin our final ancient civilization unit this week on the Ancient Aztec. We will learn about their religion, traditions, and important ruler/events.
