October 29th-November 2nd

Here's a look at the spooky week ahead..... :)

*Language Arts: We will be learning about homophones this week through the use of flashcards, matching activities and stories!
*Reading: Our skill of the week is comparing and contrasting.  Each day, we will be reading short stories and answering both comprehension and compare/contrast questions about them.  We also will be listening to the story of "The Three Little Pigs" and comparing/contrasting it to the "Big Bad Wolf is Good" book.
*Math: We will be spending one week practicing and identifying shapes in real-life situations.
*Science: With the start of a new quarter, we will be switching our 4th period class to Science.  We are beginning a human body unit, focusing specifically on bones, this week.
*Social Skills:  With Halloween on Wednesday, we will be discussing Trick-or-Treating and candy safety.

Have a fun and safe Halloween!
