November 4th- November 8th

I hope that everyone has adjusted to the time change and enjoyed their extra hour of the weekend!
Here is a look at our schedule for next week!

*Math: Students will continue to work independently in their workbooks this week.  Students will be working on skills ranging from Place value, decimals to fractions, and multi-digit operations.
*Reading:  This week, students will present their information from their nonfiction texts from last week.  Students read books about changes in the clothing, communication, and food industries over time.  The remainder of the week, students will choose a biography book that they will read in class and complete a project on.  I will be posting the rubric in the filing cabinet tomorrow.
*RtI Reading: Our new reading strategy for the week is "Making Connections".  Over the course of the week, students will be exploring and making text-to-self, text-to-text, and text-to-world connections using multiple texts.
*Social Studies: (7th & 8th grade only) Students will be learning more about the Ancient Roman civilization.  We will explore daily life in Rome, the Roman government, and Roman contributions to our own lives.
*Language Arts: In language arts this week, students will be learning about and identifying exclamatory and interrogative sentences.  There will be a short quiz on the four types of sentences on Thursday.
